Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Sets 2026 Maximum Fee for Consumer Reporting Disclosures at $16
WASHINGTON, Dec. 14 (TNSFR) -- The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has issued a final rule which implements the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), to set the maximum allowable charge a consumer reporting agency may charge for disclosures to consumers in 2026. This adjustment increases the maximum fee by $0.50 from the previous year, establishing the new ceiling at $16.00.
