Alcohol & Tobacco Tax & Trade Bureau Moves to Remove 2009 Floor Stocks Tax Regulations
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau is removing regulations that applied to the 2009 tobacco product floor stocks tax.
The Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau is taking this deregulatory step because the regulations are no longer required, as the tax they implemented was due by Aug. 1, 2009. This move will remove 42 regulatory sections from the Treasury Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau's regulations.

CPSC Withdraws Four Proposed Rules on Table Saws, Off-Highway Vehicles, Aerosol Dusters
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is withdrawing four proposed rules that were issued between Oct. 2009 and July 2024. The proposals concerned regulations on table saws, recreational off-highway vehicles and aerosol duster products.
The commission does not plan to issue final rules for these proposals. If the agency decides to pursue a regulatory action in any of these areas in the future, it will issue a different proposed rule.

EPA: Revised Water Quality Standards Finalized for Delaware River
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is issuing a final rule to revise water quality standards for specific sections of the mainstem Delaware River. The rule establishes a designated use to protect resident and migratory aquatic life and sets corresponding dissolved oxygen criteria for Zones 3, 4 and the upper part of Zone 5 of the river.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 27 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration National Marine Fisheries Service has implemented a temporary rule to adjust the 2025 Winter II commercial scup quota and per-trip federal landing limit. This action is necessary to comply with regulations from a previous framework adjustment that established a rollover of unused commercial scup quota from the Winter I to the Winter II period.
