WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (TNSFR) -- Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, intends to repatriate two cultural items identified as objects of cultural patrimony to the Metlakatla Indian Community, Annette Island Reserve.

Indiana State University to Repatriate Native American Human Remains Recovered from Site in Dearborn County, Indiana
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (TNSFR) -- Indiana State University, Terre Haute, intends to repatriate human remains representing two individuals and one associated funerary object to 1 of 8 Native American tribes.
The remains and a turkey bone awl were removed from site 12-D-0094 in Dearborn County, Indiana. The burials were accidentally exposed during construction of a trailer berth in May 1990. At the request of the Dearborn County Coroner, Indiana State University staff exhumed the burials.
