WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (TNSFR) -- Indiana State University, Terre Haute, intends to repatriate human remains representing two individuals and one associated funerary object to 1 of 8 Native American tribes.
The remains and a turkey bone awl were removed from site 12-D-0094 in Dearborn County, Indiana. The burials were accidentally exposed during construction of a trailer berth in May 1990. At the request of the Dearborn County Coroner, Indiana State University staff exhumed the burial . . .
