WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 (TNSFR) -- The Alabama Department of Transportation has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. This process identified at least 10 individuals of Native American ancestry. Following a review of geographical data and consultation, the agency determined a cultural affiliation exists between these individuals and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
