NRC: Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant Granted Subsequent Operating Licenses
WASHINGTON, Dec. 16 (TNSFR) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued subsequent renewed facility operating licenses to the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for the continued operation of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (BFN), Athens, Alabama.
The licenses, numbered DPR-33, DPR-52, and DPR-68, were issued on December 11, 2025, following a comprehensive review process.
The commission also prepared a record of decision that supports the move to permit BFN's subsequent operation. The plant is a
