Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests to Return Human Remains and Artifacts to Tribes
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), has announced plans to repatriate human remains and associated funerary objects to the Hopi Tribe of Arizona, the Pueblo of Acoma, New Mexico, and the Zuni Tribe of the Zuni Reservation, New Mexico.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands (USDA-Cibola NF&NGs) has announced its intent to repatriate human remains discovered in 1992 at the Mount Taylor Ranger District in Cibola County, New Mexico.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Cibola National Forest and National Grasslands (USDA-Cibola NF&NGs) has announced plans to repatriate the remains of at least eight Native American individuals along with associated funerary objects discovered at the Pueblo de la Mesa site in Torrance County, New Mexico.

DEA Revokes Registration of Nurse Practitioner in New Mexico
WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (TNSFR) -- The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued an Order to Show Cause (OSC) for the revocation of the registration of Laura M. Bellew, a nurse practitioner (N.P.) based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The DEA's OSC states that Bellew's registration should be revoked because she is no longer authorized to handle controlled substances in New Mexico, following the suspension of her nursing licenses by the New Mexico State Board of Nursing on January 9, 2023.
