BLM Partially Revokes Land Withdrawals for Reclamation Project in New Mexico
WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 (TNSFR) -- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has partially revoked land withdrawals for the Avalon Reservoir Carlsbad Project in New Mexico. The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), which manages the project, determined that 335.25 acres of the withdrawn land are no longer needed.
This action opens the land for potential appropriation under public land laws. The BLM will manage the land sale process, and any lands not sold will be returned to BLM administration.
