Alaska A.G. Taylor: Anthony Peterson Sentenced to 30 Years for Murder of Brett Allen in Fairbanks
JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 19 -- Alaska Attorney General Treg R. Taylor issued the following news release on Sept. 18, 2024:
(Fairbanks, AK) - Yesterday, Superior Court Judge Brent Bennett sentenced 47-year-old Anthony Peterson to 30 years of active incarceration for the murder of 18-year-old Brett Allen.
On Jan. 14, 2021, Peterson fatally shot Brett Allen. In May of 2024, a Fairbanks jury found Peterson guilty of Murder in the Second Degree and rejected Peterson's self-defense argument.

JUNEAU, Alaska, Sept. 17 -- Alaska Attorney General Treg R. Taylor issued the following news release:
On Sept. 13, 2024, Superior Court Judge Phillip Pallenberg sentenced 47-year-old Sonya H. Taton to 50 years in prison for murdering a boyfriend in 2019 and stabbing another boyfriend in 2016.
