Ga. Public Safety Dept.: New Georgia State Law Regarding Amber Light Permits
ATLANTA, Georgia, May 31 -- The Georgia Department of Public Safety issued the following news:
Effective July 1, 2024, House Bill 1193 directs that the State of Georgia will no longer require a permit for the use of amber flashing or revolving lights on vehicles.

The Brown University men's ultimate frisbee team ended its nine-month season flying high as it captured the top spot at the 2024 USA Ultimate Division I College Championships.

Mercer University: School of Medicine Professor Awarded Grant to Study Ovarian Cancer

Mercer University School of Medicine Associate Professor Ilana Chefetz Menaker, Ph.D., received funding from the Kaleidoscope of Hope Ovarian Cancer Foundation to study early biomarkers of ovarian cancer to improve detection and prevention of the deadly disease. The one-year $50,000 funding will support Dr. Chefetz and her team as they work to identify the process of ovarian cancer growth.
