Neb. A.G. Hilgers Announces $700 Million Settlement With Google Over Play Store Misconduct
LINCOLN, Nebraska, Dec. 20 -- Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers issued the following news release on Dec. 19, 2023:
Today, Attorney General Hilgers and a bipartisan group of 52 state attorneys general announced a $700 million settlement with Google in their lawsuit about Google's anticompetitive conduct related to the Google Play Store.
As part of the settlement, Google will pay $630 million in restitution, minus costs and fees, to consumers who made purchases on the Google Play Store bet

NRC Proposes $28,000 Civil Penalty to XCEL NDT
WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued the following news release on Dec. 20, 2023:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has proposed a $28,000 civil penalty to XCEL NDT of Gretna, Nebraska, for three violations of NRC security requirements associated with the use of radioactive materials. The company uses radioactive materials for industrial radiography to perform non-destructive testing of materials.
