JACKSONVILLE, Florida, June 18 -- The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued the following news: Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Jacksonville area's unemployment rate decreased to 2.3 percent over the year, down from 4.0 reported in May 2021.
