TALLAHASSEE, Florida, Jan. 22 -- Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Florida, issued the following news release on Jan. 21, 2022:
Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida's December 2021 economic data outperformed the nation with 20 consecutive months of job growth and 14 consecutive months of labor force increases. Florida Economic Opportunity Dept. Announces the Jacksonville Area December 2021 Employment Data
JACKSONVILLE, Florida, Jan. 22 -- The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued the following news on Jan. 21, 2022:
Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Jacksonville area unemployment rate was 3.2% in December 2021, up 0.1 percentage point from the year ago rate of 3.1%. The Jacksonville area labor force increased by 51,191 over the year, a 6.6% increase.
