JACKSONVILLE, Florida, Jan. 22 -- The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity issued the following news on Jan. 21, 2022:
Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the Jacksonville area unemployment rate was 3.2% in December 2021, up 0.1 percentage point from the year ago rate of 3.1%. The Jacksonville area labor force increased by 51,191 over the year, a 6.6% increase.
