WASHINGTON, Aug. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following document on Aug. 21, 2026, from Economics Daily:

Import prices up 5.9 percent over the year ended July 2026
Import prices increased 5.9 percent from July 2025 to July 2026. Prices for fuel imports increased 25.2 percent due in part to increases in import prices for petroleum and petroleum products (26.3 percent) and natural gas (74.3 percent).
