WASHINGTON, July 28 (TNSLrpt) -- The American Enterprise Institute, in the report 'From Attendance Crisis to Chronic Condition? Tracking Post-Pandemic Chronic Absenteeism into 2025,' by Nat Malkus, published June 30, 2026, says chronic absenteeism in U.S. public schools improved in 2025 but remains far above pre-pandemic levels. The report does not list a report number.
