WASHINGTON, July 27 -- The House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee released the following written testimony by Cynthia Lee Sheng, president of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, and co-chair of the National Association of Counties Intergovernmental Disaster Reform Task Force, from a July 15, 2026, hearing entitled "Reforming FEMA: Ensuring the Nation's Disaster Readiness Works for Americans." FEMA is the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
