WASHINGTON, May 14 -- The Congressional Budget Office issued the following cost estimate for the No Aid for Ghost Students Act (H.R. 7892).

H.R. 7892 would require the Department of Education to use an identity fraud detection system to review federal financial aid applications and would require institutions of higher education to verify the identity of any suspicious aid applicant identified by that system prior to disbursing federal student aid to that applicant . . .
