WASHINGTON, May 12 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Coast Guard issued the following news release:

Coast Guard suspends search for missing swimmer off Maui

HONOLULU -The Coast Guard suspended its search at 6 p.m. Monday for a man in the water who went missing off Maui Friday.

Missing is John Weems, 75, who was last seen snorkeling off Ka`anapali Beach.

In total, Coast Guard crews searched 1,275 squ . . .
