WASHINGTON, April 30 -- The House Homeland Security Committee released the following testimony by Marimar Martinez, a Chicago, Illinois, resident, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on October 4, 2025, from a Border Patrol agent during a neighborhood incident, from an April 22, 2026, hearing entitled "Funding Lapse and Security Gaps: Assessing the Harmful Impacts of the DHS Shutdown on Americans, Part II." DHS is the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
