WASHINGTON, March 27 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Coast Guard issued the following news release:

Coast Guard interdicts 15 aliens offshore San Diego

SAN DIEGO -A Coast Guard boarding team interdicted 15 suspected aliens 16 miles offshore San Diego, Friday morning.

At 4:09 a.m., Coast Guard Cutter David Duren (WPC 1156) crew members detected a suspicious vessel and launched a boat crew to investigate.
