WASHINGTON, March 17 (TNSxrep) -- American University achieved a reduction in carbon emissions equivalent to taking 63 cars off the road for a year through its annual winter holiday energy curtailment. The 15-year tradition of reducing campus energy usage during the year-end closure resulted in the university saving 3.88 billion BTUs of gas and electric energy.
