WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration is adopting an airworthiness directive for specific General Electric GEnx engine models following reports of a manufacturing quality escape. The directive requires the replacement of high-pressure compressor (HPC) stage 5 blisks to prevent potential engine failure.
