WASHINGTON, Feb. 18 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced is seeking public comments on a petition regarding a variety of genetically engineered maize. Syngenta Seeds LLC, Basel, Switzerland, submitted the request to the agency to determine if MZIR260 maize should no longer be regulated under federal plant pest provisions.
