On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) introduced the Whale CHARTS (Conservation Habitat Analysis, Research, and Technical Strategies) Act that proposes new tools to protect whales. Defenders of Wildlife released the following statement in support of the bill:
