WASHINGTON, Jan. 16 -- Rep. Virginia Foxx, R-North Carolina, chairwoman of the House Rules Committee, issued the following opening remarks on Jan. 12, 2026, at a hearing on five bills.
The bills are the Flexibility for Workers Education Act (H.R. 2262), Empowering Employer Child and Elder Care Solutions Act (H.R. 2270), Tipped Employee Protection Act (H.R. 2312), Protecting Prudent Investment of Retirement Savings Act (H.R. 2988) and Save Local Business Act (H.R. 4366).
