American University Students Recover Over 6,500 Pounds of Food for D.C. Residents

WASHINGTON, Jan. 10 -- American University students, in collaboration with the university's Office of Zero Waste, recovered more than 6,500 pounds of surplus food from the campus dining hall this semester, transforming what would have been composted meals into thousands of servings for neighbors in need.
