U.S. Forces Conduct Strikes Targeting al-Shabaab

In coordination with the Federal Government of Somalia, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) conducted airstrikes targeting al-Shabaab on Dec. 29, 2025.

The airstrikes occurred in the vicinity of Shabeellaha Dexe, Somalia, approximately 64 km northeast of Mogadishu.
