House Education & Workforce Subcommittee Chairman Kiley Issues Opening Statement at Hearing on Safeguarding Student Privacy, Parental Rights

WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 -- Rep. Kevin Kiley, R-California, chairman of the House Education and Workforce Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education released the following opening statement from a Dec. 3, 2025, hearing entitled "Safeguarding Student Privacy and Parental Rights: A Review of FERPA and PPRA."

FERPA is the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act while PPRA stands for Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment.
