BWRX-300 small modular reactor down selected by Vattenfall

WILMINGTON, North Carolina (August 21, 2025) - The GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR) has been down selected by Vattenfall as it evaluates the construction of new reactors adjacent to its Ringhals plant site on the Varo Peninsula in Sweden.
