WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 (TNSFR) -- The Birmingham Museum of Art (BMA) in Alabama intends to repatriate five cultural items to the Native Village of Barrow Inupiat Traditional Government.
The items include one miniature totem pole carved from walrus ivory, a spoon, a harpoon head, a harpoon point and a spear point. The museum classified the objects as one unassociated funerary object, one object of cultural patrimony and three sacred objects or objects of cultural patrimony.
