WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 (TNSFR) -- The Hudson Museum at the University of Maine, Orono, intends to repatriate a basket identified as an object of cultural patrimony to the Yavapai-Apache Nation of the Camp Verde Indian Reservation in Arizona.
The basket was collected from a cliff dwelling in Arizona's Verde Valley by an unknown individual at an unknown date. It was held by the Portland Society of Natural History before the Maine Audubon Society, its successor organization, transfer . . .
