Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History to Repatriate Cultural Items to 2 Tribes

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (TNSFR) -- The Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History intends to repatriate three cultural items to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, California, and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.
The three objects of cultural patrimony are two ceramic cooking pots and one ceramic olla that originated from Cactus Flats, an area northeast of Big Bear City in San Bernardino County, California. The museum received the vessels as a donation from Paul Raynor in 1932.
