Kansas State Historical Society to Repatriate Human Remains to Kaw Nation

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (TNSFR) -- The Kansas State Historical Society, Topeka, intends to repatriate human remains to the Kaw Nation, Oklahoma, according to a notice published by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service.

KSHS identified remains representing four individuals of Native American ancestry. Three individuals were identified from Johnson County, Kansas, where partial remains believed to be medical specimens were found at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop in 2016 . . .
