WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of the Army, Redstone Arsenal, intends to repatriate human remains to the Cherokee Nation, Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, Chickasaw Nation and Muscogee (Creek) Nation.
The remains represent one individual of Native American ancestry and were identified in 2025 within a subsistence sample from site 1MA639 in Madison County, Alabama, during post-fieldwork processing.
