1. I grew up in 29 Palms, California, the town at the main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. I am the youngest of four kids. Some of my favorite memories are of going to the park (what we call the monument since it wasn't a national park yet!) with friends and cousins and challenging each other with climbing boul . . .
