WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 (TNSFR) -- The University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, intends to repatriate 40 lots of unassociated funerary objects to the Upper Sioux Community, Minnesota.
The cultural items include lithic material, ground stone, ceramics, charcoal, soil samples, shell, faunal material and historic material. The University identified the items through tribal consultations, previous NAGPRA summaries from other museums and historical excavation records.
