WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 (TNSFR) -- Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama, will repatriate human remains and an associated funerary object connected to 1 of 13 Native American tribes and tribal towns.
The remains represent one individual of Native American ancestry. The associated funerary object is a fragment of a deer long bone. The materials were removed from the Phenix City Dock Site, also potentially identified as the Historic Creek Town of Upper Coweta, along the Chattahoochee . . .
