WASHINGTON, Sept. 10 (TNSFR) -- The Birmingham Museum of Art, Alabama, intends to repatriate human remains representing one Native American individual and 12 associated funerary objects to 12 Indian Tribes, according to a notice published by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service.
The remains were disinterred from Coosa County, Alabama, before 1961. Museum records state that the individual and objects were removed from the Wynn Plantation, property of the Wynn fam . . .
