WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, joined by Schools Chancellor Kamar Samuels, announced a one-year moratorium on student-facing generative artificial intelligence for public school students from 2-K through eighth grade, affecting roughly 600,000 children.
