WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 (TNSFR) -- The Princeton University Art Museum, New Jersey, intends to repatriate an unassociated funerary object to the Quapaw Nation, according to a notice published by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service.
The cultural item is a red-on-buff ceramic vessel shaped as a human head. The vessel was excavated at the Big Eddy Site in St. Francis County, Arkansas, in 1970. The notice said archaeological records place the vessel with human remains . . .
