Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University to Repatriate Funerary Objects to Quapaw Nation

WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 (TNSFR) -- The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, intends to repatriate four unassociated funerary objects to the Quapaw Nation, according to a notice published by the U.S. Department of the Interior National Park Service.

The objects include three dish-shaped pottery vessels and a pottery vessel depicting a bat. The items were offered to the museum in 1973 by Harry Devine and his wife and were associated with locations in Arkansas, . . .
