TOWNSVILLE, Australia, Aug. 18 -- James Cook University issued the following news release:

JCU jumps in global university rankings
James Cook University has returned to the 301-400 band in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
The result puts JCU back in the 301-400 band where it had been ranked since 2022, following a move into the 401-500 band in the 2025 rankings.
