Airbus Helicopters Airworthiness Directive Mandates Engine Coupling Inspections

WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration has adopted a final rule requiring inspections of engine couplings on more than 4,100 Airbus helicopters registered in the U.S. after reports that an engine flange may have been installed incorrectly during production, creating a risk of power loss and loss of aircraft control.

The rule takes effect on September 10, 2026, and applies to Airbus Helicopters Model AS350B, AS350BA, AS350B . . .
