WASHINGTON, Aug. 6 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has granted Alaska final authorization to operate its hazardous waste program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, concluding the program of the state meets federal standards for administering hazardous waste regulations.
The authorization took effect Aug. 6, 2026, allowing Alaska to administer its program in place of the federal hazardous waste program, except in Indian country and areas of exclusi . . .
