WASHINGTON, July 29 -- The Senate Judiciary Committee released the following testimony by Andrei Iancu, partner at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP, and co-chair of the Council for Innovation Promotion, from a July 14, 2026, hearing entitled "From Genes to Machines: the Patent Eligibility Debate." Iancu is also a former under secretary of Commerce for intellectual property and director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
