WASHINGTON, July 24 -- The House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations and Subcommittee on Indian and Insular Affairs released the following testimony by Abigail Echo-Hawk, director of the Urban Indian Health Institute, Seattle, from a July 14, 2026, joint hearing entitled "Innovative Technologies and Initiatives to Tackle the MMIP Crisis in Indian Country." MMIP stands for missing and murdered indigenous persons.
