WASHINGTON, July 24 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce Foreign-Trade Zones Board authorized limited production activity for General Electric Co. in Lafayette, Indiana, involving commercial aerospace propulsion parts and engine cores.
The July 20, 2026, decision, signed by Elizabeth Whiteman, Executive Secretary, requires duty payment on applicable steel, aluminum and derivative components, subject to Section 232 provisions.
