WASHINGTON, July 21 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration has issued a final rule modernizing the federal standard of identity for pasteurized orange juice by lowering the minimum soluble solids requirement from 10.5 degrees to 10 degrees Brix and allowing manufacturers to use up to 15% Citrus reticulata juice or Citrus reticulata hybrid juice by volume.
