WASHINGTON, July 17 (TNSFR) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration denied Tesla, Austin, Texas's, petition seeking exemption from recall requirements for noncompliant Model 3 and Model Y headlamps.
The decision covers about 19,917 Tesla Model 3 vehicles from model years 2017-2023 and Model Y vehicles from model years 2020-2023 manufactured between Oct. 27, 2017, and Dec. 24, 2023.
